Introduction
On 28th we had a health module in which health status of current scenario in India has been presented by Ms. Sujatha in the morning. She explained in depth regarding various health issues like women and child health, medicines, family planning, NRHM etc.
Mr. Chetan Jayade delivered the speech on Hierarchy of health system in the afternoon. He explained lacking and negligence in medical services.
Module description
Sujatha explained well about RCH (reproductive and child health), maternal care, malnutrition, IMR, MMR etc. She focused on PHC and Institutional deliveries, immunization, regular health checkups during pregnancy and family planning methods, how to take care of neonatal, keeping the baby warm, checking weight and the importance of breast feeding and the premature babies or low birth weight babies need special care.
She focused on counseling to adolescents for their future life, and care should be taken before getting infected to diseases because some of them are deadly and don’t have any curable medicines yet .she thrown light on mile stones in Health care. Aim of NRHM is to provide effective health care to rural population. Especially the disadvantaged groups including women and children
Later Mr. Jayade expressed his views on common mistakes of treatment such as leftovers in the body during surgery, unnecessary drugs and tests, delayed treatment etc .He spoke on the corruption in health system, how doctor’s treatment, attitude affects on patients.
Thus both of them spoke. Totally it was a good session and I got lot of knowledge.

It’s very essential and basic understanding about our health and I got facts and figures and reality on health system. I came to know how health consciousness is important in this critical situation.
